PRIVATE CLIMBING - HALF DAY
Whether you're a first-time rock climber learning the basics or an experienced climber wanting to advance your skills, we have guides available for all abilities. We offer fully guided climbing days as well as skills booster courses for lead climbing, anchor building, multi-pitch rock climbing, traditional rock climbing (with cams and stoppers), as well as self and partner rescue.
Any of our rock climbing workshops can be requested as a private class for one or more participants.
WHAT IS A HALF-DAY OF PRIVATE ROCK GUIDING?
PROFESSIONALLY GUIDED ROCK CLIMBING
Focus on objective climbs, to achieve a summit, and spend the day moving on rock.
Focus on having a safe, fun day of rock climbing in a beautiful environment. Little attention is given to the development of technical skills.
Lots of vertical climbing time, you will be tied into the rope and moving on rocks all day.
Duration: 4 hours - this is an active day of climbing, expect to be moving on rocks for up to 4 hours.
Multi-Pitch private climbing days are capped at a 2:1 ratio (2 clients:1 guide).
Expect to climb 2-4 pitches with short approaches/descents
Expect to climb 2-3 pitches with longer approaches/descents.
Single-Pitch private climbing days are capped at 10:1 ration (10 clients:1 guide), more guides can be added to allow larger groups.
PRIVATE WORKSHOPS FOR SELF SUFFICIENCY
Focus on building skills, and making the participants self-sufficient.
Focus on the development of skills, and an understanding of various climbing systems. Little attention is given to movement on rock, unless necessary to teach the skill.
Much of our time will be spent in a ground school environment learning and implementing climbing systems.
Duration: 4 hours - half-day ground school workshops are capped at 4 hours, regardless of content.
Ratio of students:instructors based upon topics covered.
Expectation to cover the contents of one half of our public workshops.
Some students think they can fit an entire day of public workshops into a half day of private, but inevitably we have to cut content out to fit it all into one half-day.
Workshops can be tailored to suit your needs and training objectives.
